Ride to Ithaca
Recently my husband and I rode over to some friends houses and then we all spent some time exploring Ithaca together. We made stops at Stewart Park, Ithaca Falls and even had lunch at Angel Hearts Diner. It was a beautiful day. Mostly we wanted to attend a vigil for George Floyd, to add ourContinue reading “Ride to Ithaca”
Visiting New York State Parks
A few years ago I decided to make an effort to visit every state park within the Finger Lakes region of New York State. Well I have visited some of them but still have not completed this goal. This year husband and I purchased the New State Empire pass so that we could try toContinue reading “Visiting New York State Parks”
Ride around Otisco Lake
In an effort to get more motorcycling experience (and for fun), husband and I decided to ride around all of the Finger Lakes. Some of them may be too far for us, but we might find a way to achieve this goal. To start off we explored the roads around Otisco Lake and stopped atContinue reading “Ride around Otisco Lake”
Exploring Fillmore Glen State Park
Recently, my husband and a friend rode our motorcycles to Fillmore Glen State park. I have been hiking in the park several times, but I can’t say as I have ever ridden a motorcycle or even driven my car this far in. Usually we park at the first parking lot and hike in. This timeContinue reading “Exploring Fillmore Glen State Park”
Ride to Ithaca
I rode with my husband and a friend to Ithaca on May 25th. It was an extra warm and sunny day. One of our favorite places to eat, Angel Hearts Diner reopened for curbside pickup and I was excited to be able to go back again. A year ago I would have said Ithaca isContinue reading “Ride to Ithaca”
Weekend in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Recently, Mr. EastHIllVegan and I visited our old home town in Long Island for a wedding. We left Ithaca on a Friday night for a weekend in Brooklyn before the big event. After finally checking into our hotel in Brooklyn, we got on the L Train to visit the East Village in Manhattan. We had dinnerContinue reading “Weekend in Williamsburg, Brooklyn”
Ithaca gets a food truck
I have been having a very busy weekend, so this post is extra short. I have to say posting every day is a lot of work! If you have ever visited Ithaca, NY you probably already know we don’t have many vegan food options. Many restaurants are vegan friendly, but none are 100% vegan. ThisContinue reading “Ithaca gets a food truck”
Corning museum of glass
I finally visited the museum of glass in Corning, NY this year during their holiday open house. This museum is fascinating, not sure why we didn’t visit sooner. They have several great demonstrations, which I enjoyed. They have a large collection of glass from throughout history, as well as interesting pieces from modern artists. IContinue reading “Corning museum of glass”
santa and volunteering
This past weekend, while walking around downtown Ithaca I happened upon a large crowd of people staring up at a building. Soon I could see Santa and some elves rappelling down the side! This is something that takes place in Ithaca every year. Afterward, kids could line up to visit with Santa. I did notContinue reading “santa and volunteering”
